HISTORY

PN Dockyard Apprentice School was established in 1951 for training PN Civilian Apprentices which was later, renamed as Pakistan Navy Dockyard Training School in 1986. Recently, it is renamed as PN Polytechnic Institute (PNPI) in August 2007. PNPI has established a professional reputation for excellence in teaching, continuous updation of syllabi, well equipped state-of-the-art training facilities comprising latest Training Aids and simulators.

History
PNPI has the privilege to train 112 Royal Saudi Naval Force Apprentices in 2006 & 2007. The successful training of 1st & 2nd batch of RSNF Apprentices has stregthened the confidence level of RSNF authorities in quality training of PNPI, to send more classes in future.

Moreover, the institute has also been entrusted to conduct a variety of technical courses in collaboration with National Vocational and Technical Education Commission (NAVTEC) under the Prime Minister's Scheme to improve the technical skills of common manpower. Under this scheme, 05 different courses have been conducted and 51 individuals (Male & Female) have successfully qualified.
