The establishment is located on the highest ground of Ormara Hammer Head at a height of 1575 Feet.  The unit acts as a coastal radar station for surveillance.

PNS AHSAN was previously known as remote data station MIANWALI. The establishment is located on the highest ground of Ormara Hammer Head. PNS AHSAN was commissioned on 30 October 1991 by the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral YASTUR-UL-HAQ MALIK NI(M) S.Bt.
