ACCOMMODATION (ALLIED OFFICERS)
1. Single Officers' Accommodation. Single Officers accommodation is available for allotment to officers in the Ward Room Mess of PNS PUNJAB at Askari Housing Complex, Walton. The provision of accommodation is subject to availability and advance information. Accommodation for allied officers, as per MOU/Training Protocol sighed betwen two governments, is available for allotment at Naval Complex, Walton, Lahore at agreed promulgated rates. The house rent is to be paid in US dollars. Family accommodation is provided subject to availability. PN War College can assist officers in hiring accommodation outside.
a. Messing Charges. This will be charged on actual basis in Pak Rupees. Estimated expenditure is US $ 125/- per month.
b. Food. Mess menu consists of Pakistani dishes with or without chillies. Allied officers may, however, inform the mess staff well in advance if they require any special dishes. This may entail extra expenditure; to be borne by the officers concerned.
c. Air Conditioner Charges. Electricity is very expensive in Pakistan. Officers using air conditioners will have to pay for electricity actually consumed.
d. Electricity. In Pakistan, electrical appliances with the electric rating of 220 Volts and 50 Hertz, are used.
2. Breakage/Damages. Officers are expected to pay for damage or breakage of any items issued to them by the College on rent at market rate. All minor and routine repairs of the electrical/gas appliances arising due to fair use will be arranged by the College. Officers are however, expected to pay for any major repairs caused by unfair wear and tear.
3. Guests. Officers living in PNS PUNJAB Wardroom may entertain their guests in the mess with the permission of the College authorities, but no lady guests are allowed to be entertained in the cabin or to stay in the Mess except the officer’s wife.
