STUDY TOURS

 

 

 

 

1.    Three to four Inland and one Foreign Study Tour (subject to Government approval) are scheduled during the course.  Allied officers (except gratis countries) are required to pay for the expenses involved in these tours.  They are to draw the money in advance from their respective governments.  Detail of expected expenditure is as under:

 a.    Inland Study Tour

(3)    Federal Capital, NWFP, Azad Kashmir and Northern Area

 

(a)    Economy Class Fare

Rawalpindi/Gilgit/Lahore)                               US $ 100/-

(b)    Room Rent including Messing in a

Hotel at rawalpindi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad

2.     The figures quoted are purely estimates to cater for the longest journeys with maximum halts.  The duration of the tours may be reduced depending upon the time available and confirmation from the hosts and the costs may reduce accordingly.  It is not mandatory that the members will be provided the exact amount quoted.  This may be more or less than the figures quoted above.

 

 

 

3.    The Allied Course Members will be treated at par with Pakistani officers for the purpose of Inland Study Tours.  Respective Navies/Services are requested through a copy of this booklet, to clear the minds of their nominees that no special treatment will be given to them as a foreigner.  Transportation expenses incurred on inland studty tour for gratis students by commercial means are either to be borne by the officers themselves or by their governments, except China for whom such expenses will be borne by PN.  However, room rent charges will be provided to the gratis students by Pakistan Navy as admissible under the rules.  It may also be noted that to exercise economy, the officers may have to share accommodation, when required.  Any one desiring to stay in single room in the hotel will have to bear the extra cost.

 


a.         Inland Study
Tours.        The course undertakes study tours to federal and provincial capitals and industrial units.  The approximate duration of all visits is approximately 4 weeks.

 

b.         Foreign Study Tour.        The course visits foreign countries for approximately 2/3 weeks as a follow up of the International Relations Study Phase.  Course members are to arrange their passports, which should be valid for one year (up to the end of the course) and deposit the same with the Training Chief on arrival.
